Courtney + Ryan had been planning their wedding for a quite awhile. Originally, they had planned for their wedding to be in the low country of South Carolina but a hurricane caused them to cancel their original wedding plans and re-plan for another date. Time passed and they choose a different location. Looking for somewhere safer from hurricanes but still in South Carolina. Greenville quickly rose to the top of their list as the perfect location for their newly planned wedding date. The newly opened “The Avenue” in downtown Greenville turned out to be perfect for a sophisticated, yet modern looking ceremony and reception location, and the crew at Upstate I Do did an excellent job in terms of planning and executing the wedding day coordination. Add in stunning flowers from Willow Florals, music from The Erica Berg Collection and Uptown Entertainment, food from Rick Erwins, a cake from Buttercream Bakehouse and a whiskey tasting by Six and Twenty Distillery and you’ve got one beautiful, lively and delicious celebration!
Elegant, simple, and charming are a few words that come to mind when looking through Courtney & Ryan’s wedding style. Isabelle, owner of Belle-Maquillage, did a fabulous job with Courtney’s timeless hair and makeup. They wanted this day to honor and celebrate their love to one another, but also the commitment of family and friends coming together from all across the country. Many traveled from San Fransisco and the surrounding areas of California, where the couple currently live. Even more traveled from the Cambridge, MA area where the couple went to graduate school at Harvard. A little rain also fell on this wedding day but that did not dampen any spirits. This couple rose to the occasion with smiles and laughter right up until the end. In the final moments of their night, they magically exited in a horse drawn carriage. A perfect ending to this fairy tale romance of patience and enduring love.
We wish you all the best Courtney & Ryan! Cheers to you both for already weathering a few storms of life together. There is no doubt you have a long and happy married life together!!! Enjoy this small selection of some of our favorite moments captured from your fabulous wedding day.
