Caitlin + Will’s Wedding | The Ryan Nicholas Inn | Simpsonville, SC

Highlights From the Wedding Day

Will + Caitlin wanted their wedding to be one “giant party” with their closest friends and family members. They envisioned their wedding to be fun for all and wanted everyone to walk away  with great memories. We couldn’t agree more with Will + Caitlin their wedding was full of fun and laughter throughout the day.

Caitlin’s favorite moment was the first look, she said it was a quiet moment for both her and Will to enjoy before the wedding. Normally it’s the grooms expression you want to see when photographing the first look, but we couldn’t help but show Caitlin’s expression, when she saw Will for the first time. Her expressions were so animated and lit up, it was so sweet and authentic. First looks tend to be focused on how the groom reacts when he sees his beautiful bride for the first time, but it is just as important to capture the bride’s reaction when she sees her groom for the first time too.

The One

We love hearing couples stories, especially on how they met and got engaged (the two most important stories).  Each story we hear from couples are so cool and exciting, life brings people together in creative ways, and Caitlin + Will’s story is no exception. Caitlin met Will through her ex-boyfriend, he had gone to school with Will’s little brother. Caitlin + Will remained friends and kept up with each other throughout the years, eventually they reconnected and started their adventure together. Everything happens for a reason, there are moments when we don’t quite understand why, but down the road it just prepared us for something better.  Caitlin said, “I knew Will was the one even if I didn’t admit it out loud and blew him off at first ;). After a few months, I literally couldn’t remember life before him. I’d never dated someone who so genuinely loved me for who I was – flaws and all.”

Venue

Where to begin with this stunning venue, it has chandeliers, high columns, high ceilings, and a gorgeous staircase that was design to resemble “Gone With the Wind”.  The Ryan Nicholas Inn was designed by Kim Becherer, who is the owner, and her father. The beautiful southern mansion takes you back in time, it brings the whole southern wedding theme together perfectly. If you’re looking for a formal southern venue, scroll down to the bottom and click on our link. The Ryan Nicholas Inn is absolutely stunning and we loved photographing there at their mansion.

Favorite Photo

My favorite photo is when Will + Caitlin were about to leave for their honeymoon. They still had so much energy and liveliness and their genuine love for each other showed as they were walking out together. Also, Keith did an amazing job capturing their photos in the dark, with the sparklers in the background. Although there are less photos taken in the evening, when looking for a wedding photographer you definitely want them to be able to capture photos in dim settings, and have the equipment to do so. Evening photos have a different affect on the mood and can create beautiful portraits that you just can’t get when the sun is blazing.
